Shipping & Delivery

 

All PLNTH pieces are delivered in-house by our own team, never third-party couriers. Each plinth is hand-handled, transported, and placed by people who understand the weight, value, and fragility of natural stone.

 

Delivery rates. Johannesburg: R750. Cape Town, Durban and other major South African cities: R990.

 

Uncrate & installation (optional). White-glove service: we unpack, position, and place your piece, then remove all packaging. Add R750 at checkout (Johannesburg R1 500 total; major cities R1 740 total). Select your option at checkout.

 

Lead times. Series 01 pieces dispatch within 14 to 21 business days of order confirmation. Edition pieces marked ready for dispatch ship sooner. Lead times are good-faith estimates, not guarantees; stone is cut to order and timelines may extend due to material selection, finishing, or factors beyond our control. We are not liable for losses arising from delivery delays.

 

Delivery access. Plinths weigh approximately 60 to 124 kg. You must ensure safe vehicle access, parking, and a clear path to the placement point, and disclose stairs, lifts, or restricted access at the time of ordering. Standard service places pieces at ground-floor or step-free locations; stairs, upper floors, or special equipment may incur additional charges quoted in advance. If access is not as described and delivery cannot be completed, a re-delivery fee applies.

 

Risk, inspection & damage. Risk passes to you on delivery. Inspect your piece on delivery; note any visible damage on the delivery acknowledgement and report it within 48 hours with photographs to hello@plnth.co.za. Claims after 48 hours, or for pieces moved, installed, or altered after delivery, cannot be accepted. For valid transit-damage claims our liability is limited, at our election, to repair, replacement, or refund of the affected piece.

 

Natural stone. Variation in colour, tone, veining, texture, and minor inclusions is inherent to natural stone and is not a defect. Edition pieces are one-of-one.

 

Service area & title. We deliver to major cities across South Africa; for addresses outside serviced regions, contact hello@plnth.co.za for a custom quote. We do not currently ship internationally. Ownership passes only once payment is received in full.
