What is a PLNTH plinth made of?
Natural marble, granite, or travertine, finished by hand. Each piece carries its own veining, colour shift, and surface character.

What sizes does Series 01 come in?
Three forms: Short (450 × 450 × 450 mm, ~73 kg), Standard (350 × 350 × 700 mm, ~74 kg), and Tall (350 × 350 × 900 mm, ~90 kg). Edition pieces vary — see each product page for exact dimensions and weight.
What finishes are available?
Honed (matte, smooth), Polished (high gloss), Leathered (low-sheen, tactile), and Antique (textured, aged). Honed is the gallery standard. Polished emphasises veining. Leathered and Antique read more tactile. Availability varies by stone — see each product page.
How much weight can a plinth hold?
Each plinth is rated to carry over 500 kg of evenly distributed load. Point loads should be supported with a felt or rubber pad to protect the surface.
How are the plinths delivered?
By our own in-house delivery team — never third-party couriers. Standard delivery places your piece at ground-floor, step-free locations. Optional white-glove uncrate & installation adds a two-person team to carry, place, and unpack the piece in your room of choice. Full details on the Shipping page.
Do you ship outside South Africa?
No. PLNTH delivers within South Africa only.
Can I order a custom size or stone?
Yes. Bespoke commissions are offered alongside Series 01. Use the contact form with the size, stone preference, finish, and intended use. Lead times for custom work range from six to twelve weeks.
Do you offer trade pricing?
Yes — for verified interior designers, architects, gallerists, and stylists. Apply on the Trade page or email hello@plnth.co.za.
How do I look after the stone?
Wipe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid acidic cleaners (citrus, vinegar) on marble and travertine — they will etch the surface. Polished finishes show fingerprints; rebuff with a microfibre cloth. Reseal honed surfaces every 12–24 months depending on use. Full guidance on the Care & Maintenance page.
Can I return a plinth?
Standard items can be returned within 7 days of delivery, unused and in original packaging. Custom, Edition, or installed pieces are non-returnable unless defective. Full terms on the Returns & Refunds page.
What happens if my plinth arrives damaged?
Inspect on delivery. Note any damage on the delivery acknowledgement, then contact us within 48 hours with photographs at hello@plnth.co.za. We arrange collection and resolve by repair, replacement, or full refund.
